Artisan5 Top-tier Cabernet

Dear wine lovers,

I'm thrilled to introduce WineShop At Home's newest member of our wine family, our Artisan5 Cabernet Sauvignon. This top-tier Cabernet Sauvignon represents our very highest aspirations as winemakers. It is at the very top level of all of our wine brands, especially created for those who appreciate the finest. Ready to drink now, yet highly suitable for cellaring for many years to come, Artisan5 will become more valued and valuable as time goes by. Priced at $65 per bottle, Artisan5 is comparable to wines sold at $75 to $100 or more.

Here are the tasting notes:

A collaboration between our winemaker and the owner of a single cabernet vineyard, our Artisan5 brand arose, like any great work of art, out of a passion for perfection. The goal was to create a handcrafted, artisan wine to represent our aspirations and the very best of our offerings, reflecting our vision of what a great wine should be – meticulously nurtured from the vineyard to the barrel to the bottle, then sealed with the perfect cork. Sheer perfection!

Our 2010 Artisan5 Cabernet Sauvignon was produced in the Suisun Valley AVA, five miles southeast of the Napa Valley. This single vineyard of 30 acres lies between the Vaca Mountains to the east and the Mount George Range to the west. The San Pablo Bay influence is intense in this area with a daily cool breeze blowing through this valley. The secret of the longevity of great red wines resides in their ability to have the right amount of acidity to protect them during the ageing process. This terroir is truly blessed in allowing the grapes to mature slowly while keeping their freshness. Low yields of 3 to 4 tons per acre, a meticulous sorting at harvest, an extended maceration during fermentation and 24 months of ageing in French oak barrels complete the list for this magic recipe. Our 2010 Artisan5 Cabernet Sauvignon is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and will age gracefully for the next 6 to 10 years. Artisan5 will caress your palate with layers of seamless, radiant fruit and reward your patience with long cellaring, while providing you with great pleasure in its youth. The robe of this Cabernet Sauvignon is dark and intense. The nose displays a complex aromatic combination of plum, spices and dry herb aromas. The second nose reveals some tobacco notes. The mouth has a delicate attack and turns spicy and tannic after a few seconds. The French oak barrels are playing an immense role in the quality of this wine. The tannins are soft, silky, with vanilla taste and provide a very long and sweet finish. We are close to perfection with this 2010 Artisan5 Cabernet Sauvignon. Serve Artisan5 with rack of lamb, roast beef, roasted pork loin or a grilled Rib eye steak. Pair it with cheeses such as Camembert, Brie or Gruyere served on a rustic slice of bread. Enjoy it with our featured recipe: Peppered Filet Mignon with Blackberry Sauce.

You have several options for trying this wine. The first is to order a single bottle, drink it as soon as you receive it, and, if you love it, order more. This wine was made in very small quantities. So you'll want to place your heavier order quickly.

The second thing is that I am here to help you with hosting your wine tasting party at your home in your location. Otherwise, you can host your "online" party, please let me know.
